OUR COURSES

SPEAK TO INSPIRE - LEADERSHIP, CHARACTER AND INNOVATION (JR & SR)

This course examines the impact of words and rhetoric by analyzing historic speeches that shaped societies and movements. Students will research influential speakers, exploring context, delivery, and effects. Through critical analysis and discussion, they will gain insight into the power of the spoken word in history and its relevance today.

DEBATE FOR CHANGE (SR)

Debate for Change is a 10-day camp where students analyze, debate, and propose solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These 17 global goals tackle issues like poverty, inequality, climate change, and justice.

Participants will enhance their public speaking, debating, and research skills while exploring a selected SDG in depth. Using innovative tools like design thinking and structured debates, students will collaborate to develop actionable ideas for achieving the SDGs by 2030.

PUBLIC SPEAKING (JR & SR)

This course introduces students to public speaking strategies to craft and deliver impactful speeches. They will develop critical thinking and communication skills while refining their speech through a step-by-step process. With personalized feedback on organization and presentation style, students will confidently present their final speech by the course’s end.

ELEMENTARY DEBATE BEGINNER

This course introduces students to public speaking and foundational debate concepts. They will apply techniques to communicate effectively, think critically, and deliver engaging speeches. Through guided research and discussions, students will explore various topics, express their opinions, and challenge themselves to support differing perspectives.

MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL DEBATE BEGINNER

This course condenses a 17-week program into an intensive 3-week format designed for students new to competitive debating. Students will learn the fundamentals of parliamentary-style debate, including argumentation, refutation, speaker roles, and motion analysis. Through group work, they will develop communication, collaboration, and public speaking skills while gaining confidence in addressing controversial issues.

Understand the purpose and structure of competitive Parliamentary Debating
